Changing Perspectives, Changing Lives 〰️
Living Above Disorder was born out of a passion to inspire individuals and unlock the autonomous potential for success that we believe lies in each and every person. By unlocking this potential, we facilitate an alignment of vision and values that engenders personal achievement and professional success.
We implement these beliefs through leading change management initiatives around culture shifts and organizational restructuring; providing leadership development programs and activities; training and facilitation. The results are:
Companies that are responsive to their communities both internally and externally; act as change agents; and fulfill their goals sustainably.
Leaders who are adaptable to change; communicate proactively; strategically anticipate and meet the needs of the business, others and themselves; and are able to spark and lead the vision for organizational success.
Professionals who are able to better define success for themselves, are motivated to perform at higher levels, and are able to find satisfaction and balance through effective planning and decision making.
Individuals who have connected to their value and worth; leverage their internal drivers to better respond and manage to life; and are able to craft a holistic plan that guides their success at home, work and in the community.
Frederica McLean
-
Frederica McLean officially began Living Above Disorder in 2010 as the single mother of an infant. Having experienced many of the challenges and shifts of significant stress in her own life and persevering, she worked with parents who were struggling to navigate the stress and challenge of their children being diagnosed with learning and social disabilities. She supported them in finding tools to build relationships with their children while navigating adult relationships, work, and community. With LAD, this work expanded to encompass teachers in schools and leaders in the office. However, the mission remained the same. We all experience disorder, change, and uncertainty...and we each have the capacity to build resilience towards continuance for ourselves and our children if we are receptive to the guidance and support that will get us there.
Frederica is an Educator and Behavior Analyst with degrees in Psychology (B.A.); Business; and Educational Leadership, Administration and Policy Management (M.A.E.). She is also Certified in Change Management.
As a partner with Management Research Group (MRG), Ms. McLean is an Adjunct Executive Leadership Coach, Certifications Trainer, and Evaluator; certified in the Leadership Effectiveness Analysis 360 Suite, Individual Directions Inventory and Personal Directions Inventory. In addition, Frederica is also a New York State Pyramid Model Master Cadre Regional Trainer, Teacher and Leadership Coach.
Today, Frederica's son is a thriving teen and she's added a beautiful (and blessedly calm) pit mix to the family. She enjoys a good book, a great cup of coffee, and deep conversations about meaningful things while walking through the woods. Each day, she is reminded of the blessings of perspective and grace as she continues to Live Above Disorder for herself and family.
